The milestones worth knowing
Round day numbers are the appeal here rather than round years. Day 100, day 500, day 1,000 and day 10,000 all land on ordinary weekdays and none of them coincide with an anniversary, which is what makes them worth marking. The table below gives the exact dates for yours.
Working out the dates in advance
Once you know the start date, every milestone is fixed, so they can go in a calendar years ahead. Day 1,000 arrives about two years and nine months in, and day 10,000 a little over twenty-seven years in. The counter shows both the dates and how far away they are.
If you are not sure of the exact day
Use the closest date you are confident about. A day either way changes the milestone dates by a day and nothing else, and you can always adjust the date later without losing anything.
How the counting works
The total is a count of complete days, not a rounded figure. It increases at midnight in your own timezone rather than in UTC, which is what the dated pages elsewhere on this site use, and every leap day in the period is included, which is why the number can differ by a few days from multiplying years by 365. Weeks are the day total divided by seven, and months use the average calendar month of 30.44 days, so the month figure is an approximation while the day figure is exact.
Nothing you type is transmitted or stored. The date stays in your browser, the arithmetic runs there, and reloading the page clears it.
