Anniversary years and their day numbers
A first anniversary is day 365, or 366 if a leap day falls in between. Five years is roughly 1,826 days, ten years roughly 3,653, and twenty-five years roughly 9,131. The exact figures depend on how many leap years your marriage has spanned, which is why the table is calculated from your own date rather than from an average year.
Why the number drifts from a round figure
Multiplying years by 365 always undercounts, because roughly one year in four is longer. Over twenty-five years that is six extra days. The counter adds them in, so the day total matches a calendar rather than an estimate.
Planning ahead from the number
Milestone anniversaries tend to need booking well in advance. Because every future anniversary date is fixed by the wedding date, the counter can give you the exact weekday for each one, which is the detail that usually decides whether a celebration lands on the day itself or the nearest weekend.
How the counting works
The total is a count of complete days, not a rounded figure. It increases at midnight in your own timezone rather than in UTC, which is what the dated pages elsewhere on this site use, and every leap day in the period is included, which is why the number can differ by a few days from multiplying years by 365. Weeks are the day total divided by seven, and months use the average calendar month of 30.44 days, so the month figure is an approximation while the day figure is exact.
